NSHI appoints a new National Training Manager
We are delighted to announce the appointment of our new National Training Manager, Sonia Greenwood. This role that plays a critical part in driving continued growth and excellence across NSHI Academy.
Sonia joined NSHI in 2023 as a Regional Nurse Manager, motivated by the opportunity to lead and develop a team outside of the NHS. A registered nurse with a rich and varied clinical background, she has worked in both primary care as a Practice Nurse and in secondary care as a Lead Asthma Nurse Specialist. She also spent four years in respiratory research, during which she co-authored several publications.
Dedicated to learning and the advancement of healthcare education, Sonia holds independent prescribing and teaching qualifications, along with ARTP certification. She has also worked with an education and training organisation as an associate tutor and content writer, and contributed internationally by writing entrance exam questions for the United Arab Emirates.
She has a proven track record in leadership, training development, and team engagement, alongside a passion for empowering others.
Her commitment to promoting a positive culture of learning and continuous improvement makes her the perfect fit to lead our national training initiatives.
In this new role, Sonia will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing NSHI Academy training programs that align with our strategic goals, ensuring consistency, quality, and innovation both internally and externally.
