Course outline:
1. Demonstrate understanding of basic respiratory anatomy, physiology, and the pathophysiology of common respiratory conditions
2. Explain key spirometric values, including lung volumes, percent predicted values, LLN, and Z-scores, and how these are used in interpretation
3. Identify appropriate indications and contraindications for spirometry, and apply pre-test considerations using checklists
4. Perform spirometry to ARTP Standards of Practice, including correct technique, infection control, and quality control
5. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot spirometry equipment according to best practice and infection prevention guidelines
6. Interpret and report spirometry results accurately, and understand the requirements for ARTP certification and re-certification
