Enhancing the diagnostic and management of respiratory disease (30 credits) Symptoms such as breathlessness, cough and wheeze are common in a range of respiratory (and other) conditions. Respiratory diagnostics (30 credits) Clinical investigations help confirm or rule out suspected diagnosis. This postgraduate module explores a range of respiratory investigation tests, analysing the principles underpinning them and evaluating the accuracy and validity of tests. Diabetes improving glycaemic control (30 credits) Glycaemic control is central to managing diabetes and reducing the risk of complications for many people. This postgraduate module supports the development of knowledge to underpin clinical decisions and practice linked to optimising glycaemic control. Diabetes reducing cardiovascular risk (30 credits) Evidence suggests that cardiovascular complications are reduced through a multifactorial approach which addresses blood pressure, lipid management, glycaemic control and lifestyle issues. Enhancing diabetes care in professional practice (30 credits) This course focuses upon the assessment and management of individuals with, or at risk of developing, diabetes and its precursor, metabolic syndrome. Tackling the complexity of managing heart failure (30 credits) This undergraduate  short course is for health and care professionals delivering and managing care for people with heart failure.
